About Us

WHAT IS A PTSO?

OUR MISSION
The HLS PTSO is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Our mission as a Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) at Highland Lakes School is to promote and encourage communication between parents/guardians, students, teachers, administration and the community. The PTSO also sponsors and organizes fundraising and school events, which deepen our community spirit and enrich our children's educational, social, and developmental experiences at Highland Lakes. We are an entirely volunteer-led organization and serve over 1200 students.

NO MEMBERSHIP DUES

We are a PTSO and not part of the state or national PTA organizations, which means we do not have to require memberships or dues. This gives us more flexibility on how we use our funds and makes all students, parents, teachers and staff automatically part of the HLS PTSO.

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Providing classroom supplies, helping to fund technology, planning community-building school events, showing appreciation to our staff and students, and so much more!
